Well, I am writing this backstage post sound-check in Alexandria, Va.
I decided to give the show a face-lift in order to breathe new life into it and keep me and the ‘repeat customers’ interested, and it is really working well. We’ve been playing the new show for a week now, and I must say it’s been a lot of fun to do some cool new arrangements to familiar tunes.
Especially This Is It. I took the new Kirk Franklin gospel version he calls, Declaration, (This Is It), and put my song back onto it, thus creating a hybrid version that gets about 70 mpg. Damn good mileage for an old song. And it’s been getting the best audience response of all the new material, and with any luck we should have a good live version to share w the fan club soon.
This is really getting good folks, and your support is very much appreciated. Crosby is having the time of his life, and his growth as a TV performer is amazing to watch.
