Hey everybody ...

Well, the first leg of the tour is almost over, and I can truly say I haven’t had this much fun in years. I love the new band! They’re great guys and great players, and it’s a joy to sing the new material with them. These guys are all lead singers in their own bands, so we have killer vocals, even allowing me to put the old breakdown back into “I’m Alright.” (”Woo… Heart beatin’”) We also worked up “I’m Free” from the Footloose CD, and “AngryEyes/Vahevala” from the L&M days, for the longer shows too, so there’s lots of new material to keep us on our toes.

All the shows have been memorable for us, as these audiences are as rambunctious and loud as any in the past. I love it when you all talk to me too.

I’ve only gotten exhausted once, and that was in Beaver Creek, Colo, elevation 8,000 ft, so that’s not bad under the circumstances.

I hope to see all my old friends out on the road come August. Thanks for all your encouragement and support,
